For all of your services on your wedding day, ask yourself on question - do you really want this person at your wedding? For all that they may be the premier person in their field in the world, if you really don't like them, do not give them an invite to your wedding. Yes, quality of work and price must come into play, but, especially for photographers and videographers, who will be with you the whole day, if there is a personality clash, it could potentially ruin your enjoyment of your wedding day.
Ensure that you see samples of previous weddings, and preferably a wedding in its entirety. Samples or demos will be chosen specifically to show off the best bits of those weddings, so seeing a full wedding will let you see the good and the not so good bits.
Will the person you meet today be the one at your wedding providing the service? What kind of equipment use? What else have they done in the industry? If you know anyone who has used them, what was the end opinion of the product?
